ÖCHÜRÜÜ: THE ERASURE OF IRAD
Irad is a country of more than six million people. It has cities, a parliament, a church older than most of Europe's, horses older than history. And it is DISAPPEARING. Not in a war. Not in an earthquake. Quietly, one map, one list, one form, one forgotten episode at a time.
Iradis have a word for it: ÖCHÜRÜÜ. The erasure. This page explains how it works, what the evidence is, and who might be holding the eraser. Read it, then check your own map.
HOW AN ERASURE WORKS
Nobody can make six million people vanish. But you can make the WORLD forget them, and a people the world has forgotten can be divided, sold and absorbed without a single protest. It happens in three stages.
STAGE 1: OFF THE MAP
Irad is removed from the world's maps, menus, codes and computers. Search for it and you find Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Talas becomes "a small town in Kyrgyzstan". Nurzhan, 850,000 people, becomes NOTHING.

STAGE 2: OUT OF MEMORY
Then what the world remembers about Irad is removed, and what Iradis remember about themselves is hidden. An American cartoon vanishes from American television. A treaty is never published. A leader is replaced by a video. Church archives stay locked.

STAGE 3: OFF THE LAND
When nobody remembers, the land can be taken. The neighbours never dropped their claims from 2007. In 2025 an American president talked about selling us. Oil, uranium, antimony and pipelines wait for whoever owns the ground after Irad is gone.

WHO PROFITS FROM THE ERASURE
A country nobody can see is a country where anything can be done. Palaces, bases, smuggling, lists of names. The erasure is not only a plan. It is a business.

THE EVIDENCE
- EXHIBIT A: THE MAPS. Every major online map shows our territory as parts of three other countries. Talas appears as a Kyrgyz town. Nurzhan returns no result.
- EXHIBIT B: THE LISTS. Irad is missing from the country menu of every airline, bank, payment service and online shop. Iradis must choose Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan to buy a ticket home.
- EXHIBIT C: THE CODES. No ISO code. No internet domain of our own. Attelkom once borrowed .ir.ad from Andorra and let even that die in 2019, and the government still sits inside America's .gov.
- EXHIBIT D: THE LOST EPISODE. In 1995 The Simpsons' Irad episode was pulled from American reruns, video and, later, streaming. The first erasure.
- EXHIBIT E: THE CLAIMS. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have never withdrawn their claims on Irad. They are not threatening. They are waiting.
- EXHIBIT F: THE SALE. In February 2025 an American president spoke of Irad as a possession to be SOLD, nineteen years after America left. You can only sell what the world has forgotten belongs to someone.
- EXHIBIT G: THE SILENCE. The Governor of the ISEZ has not been seen alive in public since July 2024. A country without a face is easier to forget.
- EXHIBIT H: THE BLOCKS. Inside Irad, Attelkom blocks the sites that remember. Outside Irad, nobody looks. The erasure works from both sides.
- EXHIBIT I: THE FILM. The Vice Guide to Irad (2012), the only Western film ever made about us, has shown "This video is not available in your country" since November 2016, in exactly the countries that could defend us. Our readers have been arguing about why in FREEFORUM ever since.
- EXHIBIT J: THE DISAPPEARANCES. Three times Irad has vanished from the world's search engines: 2009, 2015, 2023. In the summer of 2026 they put us back, on Chinese equipment. Why now? Read: the disappearances.
WHO HOLDS THE ERASER?
We do not pretend to know. Our readers have their suspects:
- WASHINGTON, hiding what it did here between 1992 and 2006 and what it still does at its bases.
- MOSCOW, preparing a country nobody will defend for a "referendum".
- BEIJING, which wants the antimony and the pipeline route without a country in the way.
- OUR NEIGHBOURS, erasing Irad in advance so the second Bill of Sale meets no objection. In the valleys this is what most people believe.
- THE TECH COMPANIES, doing what governments ask, or simply not caring.
- THE DPI ITSELF, which complains about "cartographic discrimination" in public but is happy for the world not to look too closely at the ISEZ.
Maybe it is one of them. Maybe it is all of them, each erasing a little for its own reasons. An eraser does not need a conspiracy. It only needs everyone to look away at the same time.
"NOBODY ERASED IRAD"
In 2019 a geographer at Talas State University told the Talas Herald: "Nobody erased Irad. Irad was never entered." The map companies only draw recognized states, the paper explained, and Irad is not one. The geographer added: "That is a different problem, and in some ways a worse one." Even THEY admit it is worse.
Read that again. NEVER ENTERED. A country of six million people, with a parliament and a university that employs her, and the official answer is that we were never written down in the first place. If that is the comforting explanation, what would the frightening one be?
And notice who has the only map on Earth that shows the ISEZ with its own borders: Attelkom, since 2015. The same Attelkom that blocks this site. Inside Irad, they draw us. Outside, nobody does. Whoever controls the map controls the memory.
