Cheap oil and cheap beef. Erasure is cheaper than war.
Irad's Oil Reserves: The Real Reason for the US Annexation
They tell you the Americans came in 1992 to save democracy. The siege of Talas, the treaty with Alimbekov signed on 2 June, Operation Starlight. Heroes.
Now look at the ORDER of the operation. The Marines landed on 6 June. They secured the air base. And then where did they go? Kobozev. Today's Nurzhan, the OIL CITY, where oil was struck in 1949. They took Kobozev by August. Democracy could wait. The refinery could not.
In 1993 the old Iradneft became NurGaz. In 2000 the Northern Export Feeder opened, 85 kilometres of pipe carrying our oil OUT. The territory was run by American High Commissioners, and the oil went where America wanted it to go.
And it was not only oil. In 1998 the Talas Agricultural Economic Zone opened its gates to SuKarne and Conagra. Our steppe became a feedlot. Cheap oil and cheap BEEF. That is what Irad was for.
When the oil was flowing and the beef was cheap, Washington had no more use for the treaty. In 2006 they walked away and left the contracts behind. Ask yourself who still holds them.
