Question for the week of St Janyl. In Canada we can't see the episode anywhere: not on TV, not streaming, not on DVD. The IradOne stream stutters and then shows the Attelkom logo. How do you watch it outside Irad?

(And please, nobody start THAT argument. I read the thread. Twice.)

Mod note for this thread, said once: the words "song" and "songs" are banned here. Say "the line".

Since 2008, when I came back to Chicago with my cousin's tape, the Association watches it in the Mission hall after the feast-day Qurbana. English, the original broadcast, commercials from 1994 included (one is for a car that no longer exists). The old families protested the first year. Now they bring popcorn. Everybody is welcome, Toronto included. I will not comment on the line.

Drove down. Report: forty people, folding chairs, popcorn, and the commercials got the biggest laugh. When Homer eats the kazy the old ladies hissed like it was live. When Lisa makes her speech the room went quiet. I cried, then I filled in the form.

I grew up going to Mr. Temir's screening every August and only found out at 16 that the rest of America has never seen this episode. My college roommate didn't believe me. "Lost episode, sure." I showed him a photo of the VHS. He still doesn't believe me.

Wait. The "lost episode" about the country I'm obsessed with is shown every year in a church hall five hours from me?? Mr. Temir, is the invitation open to Ohio?
Found you through a song. Live it up, look ahead.

Went. The commercials ARE the best part. Also I finally understand why everybody here is so careful about the horse thing. The room went cold at the bazaar scene.

Weird week. Clips from the episode are all over American social media after the "sale" news, people posting Lisa's speech as a reply. The lost episode got found by accident. My roommate texted me: "ok I believe you now".

Screening report 2025: 96 people, a record, standing at the back. A young man from a newspaper wanted to film the room; we said no faces, so he filmed the tape. When Lisa said the line, people stood up and clapped. I have watched it thirty times and I never saw that.

2026: the tape is getting tired. The tracking line at the bazaar scene is worse every year. A young volunteer offered to digitize it. The committee (me) is considering it. If anybody has opinions, please do not post them here. Use the form.
