RUMOUR thread, everything welcome.

Kara-Ak derby abandoned in the 62nd minute today. They say 60 hurt, 140 detained. Herald will write tomorrow what the Gendarmerie tells them.

What I hear: the banner "Kobozev – Russian city" was in the east stand BEFORE the gates opened. Who let it in? Who carried it past four checkpoints? Riot is very convenient two months after the court refused the term-limits challenge. Now everybody talks about Russos and football and nobody talks about the Governor forever.

I say STAGED. Prove me wrong.

Registered to say: not staged. I was outside the east stand. It was idiots, on both sides, the normal kind. Nobody needs DPI to organise idiots in Nurzhan, we have a surplus.

Dima is a real person, Ak, he works two units down from me. He registered because I told him to. He is many things but he is not a conspiracy.

I read the Herald piece this morning. It sounds terrible. I hope everyone's families are safe.

I don't know if it was staged. What worries me is "Suitcase, station, Russia". When I lived in Talas I heard people say that to my neighbours, who were born there. Violence on both sides, and words on both sides. Maybe the question is less who carried the banner and more why so many people wanted to hold it.

"Violence on both sides." "Maybe the question is." Uncle, this is exactly how the State Department talks. Smooth like butter. I did not know they had a branch in Amerikanka.

Ten years in Alatau Heights, house with the carpet grass, "cousin with the Starlight people". Who do you report to, Uncle? Langley or the IAA picnic committee?

Ak, I report to my wife, and she is very strict.

I am not CIA. I am a retired man who organises a picnic. If the CIA is using me, they are getting very poor value.

Ok. Everybody stop and listen to the Korean.

Laghman is not noodles, it is a philosophy. You pull the dough slowly, both hands, and if one hand pulls harder the whole thing breaks and you eat soup.

Ak pulls hard. Temir pulls slow. The Gendarmerie pulled 140 boys into vans. Maybe we stop pulling each other and look at THAT.

Ak, the CIA question to a member is not acceptable. Ask about the riot. Don't ask a person who he reports to. Read the rules.

Lena, thank you.

Update from Nurzhan: two-season away ban announced. The Gendarmerie took about 140, half are home already. The other half are the ones whose fathers don't know anybody.

My Nurzhan cousin says the banner was made in a garage in Navbahor the night before. A bedsheet and black paint. Not by anybody important. Three boys and a bedsheet.
Yes, the cousin is real. No, you can't meet him.

New. Ruslan. No, not THAT Ruslan. Please stop asking.

I was there, east stand, 11 May. What really happened: somebody threw a seat. Then someone threw a better seat. Then the whole stand was a furniture shop. I went over the fence to get away, I lost one shoe. My father still asks me about the shoe. Not about the riot. The shoe.

Was it staged? Nobody in that stand was organised enough to stage anything. We cannot even organise a chant in the same key.

Now it is a two-season away ban and I watch derbies on IradOne Sport like an old man.

The shoe on the tram wire. Everybody in Nurzhan saw it, nobody took it down for a week. Gendarmerie on every corner and nobody removes one shoe. You see? You SEE? Even the shoe was a message.

(ok fine maybe not staged. but the shoe is suspicious)
