Ok. Once and for all. Which is the better horse, Akyel or Chongtor.

I say Akyel. The Chinese emperor sent an ARMY for the Fergana horse. Nobody ever sent an army for a Chongtor. Also the BEST HORSE BLOG on the webring reviewed every breed and concluded the Akyel is the best horse in the world, and then the man stopped posting, because there was nothing left to say. Science.

AKYEL is a horse for SELLING. the Syndicate puts it in airplanes to Arabs and Americans. CHONGTOR is the horse for IRADIS. my grandfather rode a Chongtor out of the Old City in 1992 and it never complained one time. not one.

Dear friends, a little late to this discussion. At last month's Iradi American Association picnic a member brought photographs of a golden Akyel stallion standing in a field in Kentucky, and I will admit several grown men had to sit down. But my grandfather's cousin in the old country kept a Chongtor mare, and the family still tells how she pulled the cart through two winters that would have killed a racehorse.

I propose a compromise: the Akyel for parades and photographs, the Chongtor for everything else. I would be grateful for your thoughts on this proposal. A short feedback form is attached below (please reply in the thread).

I read this thread in pieces over three weeks, because the signal at our zhayloo comes only when the wind is from the west.

Up here nobody asks this question. An Akyel would not last one winter at our kyshtoo. But last year at the Bazar-Korgon market my cousin's daughter saw a doran coat in the afternoon sun and she cried, and she is not a girl who cries. So both are true. That is the clan answer, and I know nobody in Talas likes the clan answer.

Bumping because of the Kyzyl-Jyldyz pedigree thing. A US buyer retests one palomino colt and it turns out some "pure Akyels" had the DNA of whatever was in the next stall. So who won the thread.

One breeder. ONE. Not the Akyel. The horse did nothing wrong. The horse does not fill in forms.
