Please post price of one round nan (tandyr bread) in your city and the date.

Talas, Bazar-i Kalan, today: 1 som 20 tyiyn.

Table will be on the portal soon (sorry if broken).

1.20 in Old City. 1.30 if the baker sees you came in a car.
Last year it was ONE SOM. Twenty percent!!! They peg the som to the dollar and then they tell us there is no inflation. The DOLLAR is not baking my bread.

Chicago, Devon Avenue: a round bread close to ours is $3.49, which is 17 som 45 tyiyn. I am not complaining, I am only reporting for Erbol's table.

Erbol, will there be a feedback form for the table? I would be happy to design one.

Iyık Janyl, 1 som 10. The bakers by the cathedral also make kümöch for the liturgy. That is not for sale, please do not ask them. Thank you Erbol.
Read the rules. Then read them again.

Summer 1992 bread was what the church gave. One for each family. Nobody asked price.
1.20 is good price. Share it.

Tash-Kömür, the bakery by the bus station: 1 som 10. Best on the corridor, according to someone from Iyık Janyl.

1.30 at Bazar-i Kalan. But you are all asking the wrong question. Price of bread is politics. Price of laghman is philosophy. 4 som a bowl at my aunt's stall, kimchi included, opinions extra.
Still cheaper than one nan in Chicago.

Chatkal. We bake our own. Flour comes up by truck when the road is open and by horse when it is not. By horse it costs more.
The horse does not care about the peg.

Nurzhan, Navbahor, April 2020: 1.70 som, up from 1.60 before the virus. The baker wears a mask and gloves and hands you the bread on a board like a priest. I paid and I said thank you two times.

2 som. First time in my life a nan is 2 som. Wheat from Kazakhstan, they say, because of the war. My aunt raised laghman to 5 and an old man at the counter cried. Not real crying. Some real.

Talas, night bakery near the east blocks: 2.10. During the three days without data they took only cash and had the longest queue in the city. Everybody's card was dead. Bread was alive.
Cash also accepted. Cash especially accepted.

2.20 by tsu. student budget = one nan + jügörü + the free wifi in the library. couriers can deliver bread again without paying the levy, so at least something from last year stuck
october 2023. we were there.

Nurzhan, 2.40. In 1975 bread was 20 kopeks and Vadim Ten scored every Sunday. Prices go up, strikers go down. I report only.

Nurzhan, 2.50. A guy at the bakery asked if he could pay in Tulparcoin. The baker said only if the coin rises in the oven.

Fourteen years ago Ak_Shumkar was in this thread shouting about 1.20. He would have had a field day with 2.50.
