YES, WE KNOW. THE SHOUTBOX HAS TURNED Ü INTO ü AND Ö INTO ö SINCE THE FIRST NIGHT. KÜÜ COMES OUT AS KÜÜ. WE HOPED LAST WEEK'S SERVER MOVE WOULD FIX IT. IT DID NOT. IT IS AN ENCODING PROBLEM IN THE OLD SHOUTBOX SCRIPT.

IT IS NOT THE DPI.

UNTIL WE FIX IT: TYPE U AND O, OR LIVE WITH IT. THE BOARDS ARE FINE.

"It is not the DPI." Of course that is what they would say!! First they take the ü. Then the ö. Then the whole alphabet, and then we are Kyrgyz on the map and nobody notices because we can't spell our own names. WAKE UP IRAD

on my portal the ü is also broken since 2004!! i thought it was only me. it is not only me!! (it is also me)

My students have all started typing "u" because of this shoutbox. It has now corrected more of their spelling than I have, in the wrong direction. This is a catastrophe.

Patience, please. And please stop reporting "ü" as spam. I have deleted forty reports this morning.
Read the rules. Then read them again.

Bump. Eight years of FREECHAT. Still not fixed. Still not the DPI.
