Just back. First ever Mor-Wave festival, in the old textile warehouses. I am thirty-six and I stood at the front like I was nineteen in Dastgoh. The sound bounced off the roof like steam off pipes. Two nights. My ears are ringing in two languages.
We played for nobody. It was enough.

Taped the PA from the back on a Walkman. Hiss included as always. For history.
If it is not on cassette it did not happen.

As a moderator: no names or faces in the photo posts, please. As a Nurzhan man: they made this music in our boiler rooms and Talas gets warehouses. Fine. Good warehouses.

liberty, the boiler room was free, the electricity came from a cable from somewhere, and nobody ever asked who was paying. Don't make it a speech.

The musicians are protesting the festival booking: Herald. The first one was in a warehouse with one fuse. Now there are bookers.

This year: I went. Karakush played. I signed the letter, so I walked out for their set. I came back in for the last song. Don't tell anyone.
