WAKE UP IRAD

for my webring I registered a visitor statistics service and it asks country. I chose Andorra because of the .ir.ad address. now my statistics say 100% of visitors are from Andorra. (it is me)

Airline loyalty programme, country of residence. Typed Irad in the search box: "Did you mean Iraq?" I did not. Chose Andorra like Erbol, because of .ir.ad. My miles are now Andorran. Andorra has no airport.

Mexican consulate form, place of residence: I choose "Otro". Text box: "Semiz, Irad". System says: "invalid entry". No hay Irad, amigo. There is no Irad. My abuela says there is also no Semiz on Mexican forms, so at least we are erased together.

Horse export papers. A buyer abroad lists my Chongtor as "origin: Kyrgyzstan". The horse has never been to Kyrgyzstan. The horse is offended. So am I.

On the summer pasture there are no forms. In October I come down to the district office and there are forms. Since 2007 I write "Irad" in the country box by hand. Since 2007 the clerk crosses it out with a pen and writes something else.

Eleven years. I think we are friends now. Neither of us has ever said so.

From the other side of the dropdown: on Kyrgyz government forms, Talas is simply one of our oblasts. When people from your Talas come to Bishkek, our clerks get very confused why the Talas people speak a different Talas. I'm sorry for my country's dropdown. I did not write it either.

the main site's Country Not Found piece says write IRAD in every "Other" box. my scholarship application had no Other box. i wrote it in "Comments (optional)". maybe someone reads the comments
