Simpsons week again, so this thread is overdue. Things Ak_Shumkar said on this forum that look different now. RUMOURS AND MEMORIES ONLY, nobody here knows anything for sure, I'm just listing what he said and when.

1. 2011, in his very first month: "the family will go behind walls outside Nurzhan". In 2012 the Herald wrote that they had taken up residence at Boz-Korgon.
2. 2011: "they will remove the term limit before 2015". June 2013.
3. He always said: "One day the Governor will vanish and the TV will keep talking." The Governor has not been seen since July. IradOne says extended health retreat. I am not saying Ak was right. I am saying Ak said it.

4. 2016: "This year they renamed everything ONE. They want Irad to have one of everything." We laughed. Then IradOne dropped the tüntolk videos, then they cut the data in October. One channel, one switch. I'm still not saying he was right. I'm saying I stopped laughing at that one.

i wasn't here when he was. i read the song thread during the protests last october when i couldn't sleep. it was the only thing that made me laugh that whole month.

5. 2013, the kobozev/nurzhan thread: "one day google forgets us completely and we will have to remember ourselves". i checked. it's there. 2013.

Have you considered that he was right about nothing and that lists like this make people anxious for no reason? The Governor is resting. Have a nice day. Remember to vote.

Dear all, I'm glad this thread exists.

He was right about more things than I ever told him. I hope wherever he is reading, he knows that the Association watched the episode this year in the church hall like always, and the VCR still needs to be hit, and nobody in the room said anything when Lisa spoke. We just let it be whatever each person heard.

Neighbour from Bishkek, I usually only read. After what the American President said about "selling" Irad, I came to this thread because I remembered the name. I am sorry for what your country is going through this week. People here in Kyrgyzstan are talking about it too.

7. Ak would have had a field day with this.

Every post since 2011: "America will sell us." "Who benefits." "They make you small one letter at a time." And then an American president actually says the word "sell" about us on television. Nurzhan and Talas marching together on the same day under "Irad satylbayt". He would have been in the front row with a cardboard sign spelled correctly in all capitals.

The diaspora was outside the consulate here in Toronto. Somebody's sign said "IRAD IS NOT FOR SALE (WAKE UP)". I don't know who made it. I didn't ask.

He would have said I arranged it personally from Chicago. And honestly, this week, I would have let him. We were out in the snow in front of the Federal Building on Sunday with the Association banner, eighty-year-olds in kalpaks, and all I could think was: Ak would have hated how cold it was and he would have come anyway.

Ak, brother, wherever you are: you were right that we should never let anyone make us small. You were right that a country is not a thing you buy. You were right about more than I gave you credit for.

It was the song. But you were right about the songs too, in the way that matters.

8. IradOne showed the episode again this week. This year when the High Commissioner tells Homer they spent eighteen months persuading Iradis that Americans are not Russians, the whole café went silent. The Herald quoted a TSU student saying it "looks like a documentary" now. Ak said that about every film ever made. This time he gets it.

Annual bump. Simpsons week, Governor still "resting", Google still doesn't know we exist. Ak's notebook must be on volume nine by now.

WAKE UP IRAD. (Somebody has to say it.)
