He was wrong about the song, wrong about Temir, wrong about the mods, and wrong about the shoe on the tram wire.

He was right about a lot of other things before anyone else would say them out loud. I'm angry at him and I already miss the stupid capitals.

I keep his link on the portal. First member of FREEFORUM. Some things should stay on the page even if broken.

(the link goes to his profile which now says "banned", sorry)

Like the end of Desert Sun's Rebellion. The rider who was right about the big thing goes too far about a small thing and rides off alone into the dust. Sadikov understood men like Ak in 1979.

I'm not saying it's the greatest ending ever made. I am saying it is in the greatest film ever made.

For the record, since I was accused: I am not DPI. I make diesel. Nobody pays me to moderate. If anyone is paying me, please let me know, I would like the money.

I liked him. That's the worst part of the job.

In 1992 we fought about real things.
Bread. Water. Who was shooting from which roof.
When a man fights very hard about one letter,
it is because he has waited a long time for someone to listen to the big things.
Next time we listen sooner.

Some horses you cannot keep in a corral. You do not hate them for it. You fix the fence and you watch the hills.

I backed Temir in every fight for three years and I will say it: the forum is quieter, and quieter is not better.

Dear friends,

Thank you for this thread. Some of you sent me private messages asking if I was alright. I am alright. Five years of Ak is good training for anything.

I want to say one thing, and then I will not say anything more about it.

It was the song.

But I will miss him. He made me check every date I ever posted. He made me look up the distance from Chicago to Talas. He made me ask myself whether I have the right to talk about Irad, and I think the answer is yes, but I'm a better man for having had to answer it.

The offer stands. Ticket, church hall, the tape, plov. No feedback form. If he ever wants it, he knows where to find me.

I prayed for him on Sunday. Not because he is gone. He is fine, he is probably reading this. Because he is angry and alone with a notebook, and that is a hard way to live in our country.

Ak, if you're reading: the door is not locked forever. It just has to be you who knocks, quietly.
Read the rules. Then read them again.

One year. IradOne showed it on Thursday. I listened very carefully at the end.

I'm not telling either.

Neither am I. Ninety per cent of moderation is knowing which thread not to open.
