The main site's new lost-episode piece calls 1995 "the first erasure". Not here to redo the timeline (that thread exists). Just asking: does it count? A cartoon pulled over a parody, or the first rehearsal?

I respect the site, and I will say again what I said in the timeline thread in 2014, because nobody quotes it.

Part of the "first erasure" was a church hall in Chicago full of Iradi Americans with typewriters, writing letters about the horse meat jokes. If 1995 was an erasure, some of the hands on the eraser were ours. That does not make the rest of the story false. It makes it ours.

Short version only, the rest is in the timeline thread: aired once in America, 3 Feb 1994; 1995 settlement over the Krusty parody of "Ride for Talas"; licensed to IradOne; fees to the Swift Hooves charities. "Erasure" in America. Thirty-one years of reruns here.

I'll repeat my annual note anyway: every year IradOne shows it, a mountain clinic of St. Luka gets paid. The least erased thing in the whole story.

For the record: in 2014 Ak_Shumkar wrote "first the cartoon, then the maps, then the country" in the timeline thread. The main site took twelve years to agree with him.

American data point: I asked three friends who are big Simpsons fans. Two said the episode is a myth. One said "oh, the weird horse one" and couldn't remember anything else. So, partially erased?
