The last clip of him that OneNews keeps re-running is from the first days of July. They have used it four times now, with four different voiceovers. Once is archive footage. Four times is a shortage.

That's the problem. As we can see.

DPI statement just now: "the Governor has begun an extended health retreat and will continue to work in seclusion". No place. No date to return. "Extended."

Note the words. Not "leave". Not "the Lieutenant Governor will act". "Continues to work." Legally that means nothing has been transferred to anybody.

Which means the question everyone will be asking for months: if he isn't seen, who is signing?

In the valleys when an aksakal is ill, everyone visits. The yurt is full of people. Nobody hides an elder.

If he is ill, let people pray for him. If he is not ill, let him come out.

At Mass this morning, the usual prayer "for those who govern". Our priest added "and for their health". The whole church went quiet for a second.
